Bambu Lab published a one-year update on its Trust Center initiative, detailing bug bounty progress, new IoT certifications, and expanded security patching across its printer lineup.

What Bambu Lab Changed

In late 2025, Bambu Lab opened a Trust Center to address user concerns about IoT security and privacy. The company listed its commitments, certifications, and a Security White Paper covering devices, software, and cloud infrastructure. One year later, Bambu Lab has published an update on what actually changed.

The centerpiece is the Bug Bounty Program. Researchers and white-hat hackers can report vulnerabilities in Bambu products directly to the company. The engineering teams review submissions, fix confirmed issues, and reward the reporter. Bambu Lab says this collaboration with the security community has become a core part of its vulnerability management process.

Certifications and Compliance

Bambu Lab earned ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications, along with TRUSTe Enterprise Privacy validation. The company also aligned its products with the ETSI EN 303 645 standard for consumer IoT security. That standard covers things like secure defaults, data protection, and vulnerability disclosure policies.

On the regulatory side, Bambu Lab says its products now meet Article 3.3(d) and 3.3(e) of the EU Radio Equipment Directive, Australia's Cyber Security Act requirements, and the UK's PSTI legislation. Those rules set baseline security expectations for connected devices sold in those markets.

Patching and Updates

Bambu Lab launched a Security Update page that tracks individual patches and fixes. The company also redesigned its vulnerability management workflow to speed up response times. The goal is to keep devices protected with new security updates on a regular cadence rather than waiting for major firmware releases.

For users, the changes mean more transparency about what is being fixed and when. The Trust Center remains the central location for privacy commitments, security documentation, and bug bounty details.
