Best Buy is selling the Bambu Lab P1S with AMS for $499, which is the lowest price this combo has ever reached.
Best Buy is running a 60th Anniversary Sale that drops the Bambu Lab P1S combo to $499. That bundle includes the Automatic Material System, or AMS, which normally retails for $350 on its own. The math is simple: you are effectively paying $149 for the printer itself.
The P1S launched at $899 in 2023. It has since settled into a $579 typical price on Bambu Lab's own website, with occasional dips to $539. But $499 with AMS included is new territory. I do not think we have seen this bundle this cheap before.
Why does this matter? The P1S remains one of the most recommendable printers on the market. It has an enclosed build chamber, a built-in air filter, and a quiet but capable CoreXY motion system. It prints PLA, PETG, ABS, and TPU well without much fuss. The AMS adds multi-material and multi-color capability, letting you use up to four filaments at once or chain four AMS units for sixteen spools.
The deal is time-limited and only available at Best Buy. Stock levels vary by store and online. If you have been waiting for an excuse to enter multi-material printing, this is it. At $499, the P1S combo undercuts most of the competition on total cost of ownership.
Should You Buy It?
Yes, if you want a printer that works out of the box. No, if you need a build volume larger than 256 x 256 x 256 mm. The P1S is not a workhorse for massive parts. For that, you would look at the X1 Carbon or the new H2D, both of which are also on sale but at higher price points.
This deal is aimed squarely at beginners and hobbyists ready to step up from a single-extruder machine. It is hard to imagine a better entry point into multi-color FDM printing right now.
