Creality has released the SPARKX i7 Nano, a compact multicolor FDM printer that bundles a four-filament CFS nano kit for $299. The machine is the smallest member of the i7 series and the most affordable four-color option Creality has put in front of consumers to date.
What You Get for $299
The i7 Nano has a 260 x 260 x 255 mm build volume, a hardened steel nozzle rated to 300 degrees Celsius, and automatic bed leveling. It accepts nozzle diameters of 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, and 0.8 mm. The print surface uses a PEI-coated steel flex plate on both sides, smooth and textured.
The CFS nano Kit is the multicolor component. It sits on top of the printer and handles automatic filament switching across up to four colors using a dual-motor system: one motor manages channel selection, the other controls feeding and retraction. Creality says the CFS nano installs without tools or complex disassembly and is backward-compatible with existing i7 units.
An integrated spool holder mounts directly to the printer body with a snap-on mechanism, which is how Creality keeps the footprint small. There is no separate external CFS Lite unit, which simplifies the overall desktop setup considerably.
AI Features Aimed at Beginners
The i7 Nano includes a built-in 720p AI camera that watches for common failure modes: spaghetti prints, air printing, and layer adhesion problems. It also runs vibration compensation and dynamic pressure adjustment to maintain consistent extrusion during speed changes.
Creality includes a feature called CubeMe that automatically converts 2D portrait photos into multi-color 3D models, which is a clever way to lower the barrier for people who have never modeled anything. Combined with RFID filament detection and automatic refill, the onboarding flow is designed to get someone from unboxing to first print in under five minutes.
Speed and Material Range
The rated top speed is 500 mm/s. The hardened steel nozzle opens up materials beyond standard PLA: PETG, TPU, and similar filaments are within range. Creality does not advertise active chamber heating for the Nano, so high-temperature engineering materials like ABS and polycarbonate are not part of the spec sheet.
Where It Fits in the Market
At $299, the i7 Nano undercuts most four-color competitors by a wide margin. Bambu Lab's AMS system alone costs close to the entire Creality machine. The trade-off is build volume and feature depth: the i7 Nano is a focused beginner-to-hobbyist machine, not a production workhorse.
The CFS nano's 4-color limit also means serious multi-material work, such as dual-color plus soluble support, is not really in scope. For users who want multicolor cosplay props, figurines, and desk toys, the price-to-capability ratio is compelling.
