FlashForge's CJ270 blends seven resins during a single print to produce objects in full color, with water-soluble supports and 10 million possible color combinations.

How the CJ270 prints in color

FlashForge is entering the full-color resin market with the CJ270, a machine that blends seven different resin colors during printing. The result is an object with full color output in a single pass, no painting required. The printer uses UV light to cure each layer, and the support material dissolves in water for cleanup.

Build size is 180 by 120 by 100 mm. FlashForge claims 10 million possible color combinations from the seven-cartridge system. The first batch ships on October 15, 2026.

Who this is for

Color resin printing has existed before, but it usually meant swapping cartridges between layers or painting the final part by hand. The CJ270 tries to automate that process inside the printer. The main use case is figurines, prototypes that need visual verification, and small production runs where color coding matters.

The water-soluble supports are a practical touch. Removing supports from resin prints is the most tedious step in the workflow, and anything that reduces that friction helps.

The caveats

Resin printers still require post-processing: IPA washing and UV curing after the print finishes. The CJ270 does not remove those steps. The build volume is also small enough that this is a tabletop machine, not a factory floor system.

Price has not been announced yet. If FlashForge prices the CJ270 close to its other consumer resin machines, it will be the most accessible full-color option on the market. If it carries a large premium, the target audience shrinks to designers and small studios who already pay for convenience.
