Spanish metal 3D printing leader Meltio partners with South Carolina's Automation Engineering Company to accelerate wire-laser metal deposition adoption across US industrial sectors.

Meltio's US Market Push

Spanish metal 3D printing company Meltio has announced a strategic partnership with Automation Engineering Company (AEC), making AEC Meltio's official sales and integration partner for the United States.

Based in South Carolina, AEC brings deep expertise in advanced robotic welding and turnkey automation systems. The partnership aims to accelerate adoption of Meltio's wire-laser metal deposition (W-LMD) technology across US industrial environments.

"By combining AEC's deep experience in advanced robotic welding and turnkey automation systems with Meltio's blue-laser, wire-fed metal 3D printing technology, we can deliver practical, production-ready additive solutions," said Bobby Larmer, CEO of AEC.

The W-LMD process offers manufacturers what AEC calls a "safer, cleaner, and more cost-effective path to high-deposition, near-net-shape production, repair, and hybrid manufacturing."

Target Sectors

Meltio's technology is already being used across the US in industrial environments for demanding sectors including energy, heavy industry, and oil & gas. The new partnership will focus on building relationships with industrial customers, machine tool builders, academic institutions, and technology centers.

This represents another step in Meltio's continued expansion into the US market, following their growth in European markets over the past few years.
