QIDI's new Plus5 adds 18 percent more build volume in the same footprint, a 65°C heated chamber, and three-stage air filtration, all priced under $750.
Same Footprint, More Room to Print
The QIDI Plus5 fits on the same bench as the Plus4, but the build volume grows to 320 x 320 x 300 mm. That extra 18 percent is often what separates a project that prints in one piece from one that needs splitting and gluing.
Motion and Leveling
Under the enclosure, the frame is all metal. The X axis runs on linear rails with a 9 mm wide belt, which QIDI says keeps tension better during rapid direction changes. Bed leveling uses a nozzle-contact sensor. The nozzle touches the plate directly, so first layers come out consistent without worrying about build plate material or ambient vibration.
Heating and Cooling
The active chamber heating reaches 65°C on 550 W, which is 37.5 percent more power than the Plus4. That helps large ABS and PC prints stay flat. An optional extruder cooling system, sold separately, blows air across the print head to guard against heat creep during long sessions.
Monitoring and Filtration
An AI camera watches for failures like spaghetti errors and stops the job. The heated bed has smart status lights so you can tell whether the machine is Standby, Ready, or Printing from across the room. Air exits through a three-stage filter: G3 pre-filter, H12 HEPA, and activated carbon. QIDI claims it captures 99.5 percent of particles.
Software and Pricing
QIDI Maker is a new model platform with a mobile app that slices in the cloud and sends jobs straight to the printer. No desktop slicer is required. The Plus5 is in stock now at $749. Free member registration during the launch period brings the price under $700.
