XTPL's repeat order from its first Chinese client confirms the electronics repair market is moving from lab to production line.
From Pilot to Production
Polish electronics 3D printing OEM XTPL has received a follow-on order for 10 Ultra-Precise Dispensing (UPD) printhead modules from the same Chinese flat-panel display manufacturer that bought its first batch last year. The original six-module order was validated under the customer's manufacturing conditions. That validation is what opened the door to this larger second purchase.
The modules are being used for inline repair on the FPD production line. Instead of catching defects after manufacturing is complete, the customer can fix them during quality inspection. XTPL CEO Filip Granek said the new order confirms the deployment is not a one-off project but the start of a long-term collaboration.
Consumables Revenue Built In
Beyond hardware, the deal includes recurring revenue from nanoink, cartridges, and nozzles. CFO Jacek Olszański noted that growing module deployment in industrial environments drives demand for consumables, which is a core part of XTPL's business model. The 10 modules will be delivered in tranches over 12 to 18 months.
Global Footprint Expands
The China order follows XTPL's entry into Japan and its first Silicon Valley sale. The company is seeding projects across multiple geographies, and the phased delivery model appears to be resonating with industrial buyers who want to validate before scaling.
