From minimalist wallets to bed-cooling rigs, these viral lifestyle products cost a fraction of retail when you print them yourself.

The Ridge Wallet Alternatives

The Ridge Wallet is everywhere online, but it costs 60 dollars or more for a simple metal and elastic card holder. MM Printing's RIM Wallet on MakerWorld gives you the same minimalist form for the price of a few grams of PETG. The design uses a snap or screw closure, RFID-blocking aluminum foil, and elastic cord. Print it in any color, add custom text, and you have a wallet that looks custom for a fraction of the cost.

A lighter version called the RIM Wallet Lite removes the aluminum entirely for a slimmer, cheaper build. Both models print without supports on most desktop FDM machines.

LTT Cable Clips

Linus Media Group's magnetic cable management clip sells for a premium, but the basic idea is simple: a clip that holds cables to the side of your desk with embedded magnets. MilloDesign's version on MakerWorld does the same job. You will need to source your own neodymium magnets, but the print itself takes under an hour on a standard printer.

Orbitkey Alternatives

Orbitkey's leather key organizer is a staple of Instagram ads. The 3D printed OrbitLock on MakerWorld performs the same function: holds keys on a single tidy bar, no jingle, no pocket stab. Adjustable screw length means you can add or remove keys without redesigning the whole part.

Eight Sleep Bed Cooling

Eight Sleep's temperature-controlled mattress topper starts at a thousand dollars and requires electricity to run. The Bed Rocket design on MakerWorld takes a different approach: a 3D printed channel system that holds a water-soaked pad against your mattress. A small fan circulates air through the channels for passive cooling.

It will not match the precision of a PID-controlled water mattress, but it costs a few dollars in filament and uses no more power than a USB fan.
