3D Systems expands its NextDent denture jetting portfolio with Dark Pink, Light Pink, and Red Pink gum tones for more natural-looking dentures.
More Natural Smiles for Denture Patients
3D Systems is expanding its NextDent denture jetting portfolio with three new shades of gum tones. The new additions—Dark Pink (DP), Light Pink (LP), and Red Pink (RP)—join the existing NextDent Jet Base LT (Light Tone) to give dental labs more options for matching patients' natural gum colors.
"These new base shades give labs the tools they need to meet real patient diversity with high-quality, predictable results," said Stijn Hanssen, Director of Dental Solutions for 3D Systems. "Coupled with our one-piece jetted workflow, dental professionals can now deliver dentures that provide an outstanding patient experience through superior beauty, comfort, durability, and efficiency."
The Growing Denture 3D Printing Market
In the US alone, approximately 40 million people have dentures, with average costs exceeding $1,500. Around 15% of the patient population replaces their dentures annually. 3D printed dentures can be produced for under $100 using jetting technology, making this an increasingly lucrative market.
The NextDent 300 printer uses multi-material capabilities to blend colors, creating natural-looking results that satisfy both patients and dentists. According to 3D Systems, the workflow requires half the manual labor of traditional dentures, with turnaround possible in just one day instead of the usual five.
Josh Jakson, President of Evolve Dentistry, noted: "The material performance stands out. We're running faster, with less labor and greater confidence in shade consistency and durability."
Leading the Pack in 3D Printed Dentures
3D Systems received FDA clearance for its multi-material denture solution in September 2024 and launched commercially in August 2025. Currently, it's the only jetting solution on the market—Formlabs, Quantica, and Stratasys are all working on alternatives, but none have reached commercial release yet.
This first-mover advantage gives 3D Systems a significant head start in capturing market share as the dental 3D printing industry continues its rapid growth.
