Your printer is good for more than toys. These five print-and-forget tools take the sting out of ordinary housework.

Gutters without the ladder

Cleaning gutters is the chore everyone dreads. Instead of climbing onto the roof, print an adapter that turns tools you already own into a gutter cleaner. There is a self-propelled nozzle that clips onto a standard Gardena hose with forward and rear jets, a leaf-blower attachment, and a shop-vac wand that reaches the debris. Print one and you can do the whole job from the ground.

Vacuum nozzles that actually fit

Stock vacuum attachments never seem to match the gap you need to reach, especially in a car. A parametric nozzle generator lets you dial in the shape and fitting size, then print a set that finally gets into the tight spots. PETG or ABS will outlast PLA if the part sees heat or stress.

A faucet descaler for hard water

Limescale builds up on faucet aerators until they seize. A tiny printed descaler sits on top of the aerator with a lip for a dab of white vinegar. Let it sit a few hours and the scale loosens without you having to fight the threads. At about 3.5 grams of filament per print, you can refresh it whenever needed.

Drain snakes on demand

Shower drains clog where you cannot easily reach. A printed drain snake with flexible PETG and 100 percent infill gives you the reach to pull out hair and gunk before it becomes a real blockage. There is even an extendable version when you need more length.

Fur lifters for rugs and pet beds

Cat and dog hair clings to soft surfaces in a way no vacuum fully fixes. A simple printed fur lifter with a toothed edge rakes embedded hair out of carpets and pet beds. Follow the pile direction, do not press down, and the reviews say it genuinely works on thick carpet.

The common thread

None of these need an exotic printer or a lot of filament. Most are small, print in an hour or two, and save you a trip to the hardware store. The durable ones are worth doing in PETG so they survive moisture and wear. If you want more, the kitchen is the next goldmine of printable fixes.
