Airbus has cleared Roboze's ARGO 500 HYPERSPEED platform to produce flight-ready secondary structural parts using ULTEM 9085 filament. This is a real certification, not a press-release demo. The combination met Airbus requirements for mechanical performance, flame retardancy, repeatability, process control, and traceability, all without a custom material blend.

Roboze calls the setup its Mission Ready Production System. The point is simple. A standard high-performance polymer, printed on a system that holds tight tolerances, is now good enough for aircraft-grade parts. That changes how suppliers can think about where parts get made.

Why this matters for distributed manufacturing

For years, aerospace buyers had few qualified options for polymer additive manufacturing. If you wanted certified parts, you worked inside a narrow approved supply chain. Roboze says the Airbus qualification trims procurement complexity, inventory headaches, and the long road to qualifying a new material.

The bigger story is location. Certified parts could be made closer to where they are needed, on systems that behave the same from one site to the next. Roboze is already moving more of its own materials through qualification programs for future aerospace use. ULTEM 9085 is the first, not the last.
