Early registration for AMS X closes August 26, with prices rising from $1,199 to $1,399 for the New York additive manufacturing business summit.
The Business Side of 3D Printing Gets Its Own Stage
The additive manufacturing industry has spent the last few years growing out of its hobby-phase reputation. Investors want profits, manufacturers want scale, and defense departments want reliable supply chains. That shift is why events like Additive Manufacturing Strategies matter more than ever, and the 2027 edition is leaning into it.
AMS X, the tenth annual running of the conference, will take over New York City from February 23-25, 2027. Organizers bill it as the place where executives, investors, analysts, and suppliers meet to talk about the actual business of 3D printing rather than just the hardware specs. With another year of consolidation, M&A, and military spending behind the industry, the agenda should have plenty to chew on.
Register Before August 26 or Pay Extra
If you plan to attend, the clock is ticking. Early-early registration costs $1,199 and ends at 11:59 PM ET on August 26. After that, the price jumps to $1,399. The pass covers all conference sessions, food functions, and the networking reception on February 23. One-day, academic, government, and group options are also available through the AMS registration page.
Who Is Speaking?
The lineup is heavy on decision-makers. Stratasys CEO Yoav Zeif will deliver the opening keynote, followed by Additive Manufacturing Research EVP Scott Dunham with a market forecast for 2026 and 2027. Confirmed speakers also include Formlabs CEO Max Lobovsky, HP's Alex Monino, Siemens Energy executive Karsten Heuser, EOS North America president Glynn Fletcher, AM Ventures managing partner Arno Held, and Prusa Research founder Josef Prusa.
The closing day will feature CEO roundtables with leaders from VulcanForms, Nikon SLM Solutions, ADDMAN, Stratasys, EOS, and Materialise. The Barnes Global Advisors will also run a workshop aimed at investors who want to value AM companies without getting swept up by hype.
Sponsors and Topics
Stratasys returns as diamond sponsor, while Cantor Fitzgerald and The Barnes Global Advisors are presenting sponsors. AM Ventures is the networking sponsor, and EOS, HP, VulcanForms, Lincoln Electric, nPower Technologies, Carbon, In-Vision, MADDE, and AMT are also backing the event.
Sessions will cover market forecasts, supply chains, industrial AM, U.S. manufacturing, investment, M&A, mass production, energy, construction, healthcare, aerospace and defense, and global adoption. It is a packed three days, and the continuous single-track format should keep the conversations focused.
After years of 3D printing hype, AMS X feels like a checkpoint: can the industry turn its technology into a sustainable, profitable business? The registration numbers, and the price bump, will be one small clue.
