AxiLoop MC8: What We Know

AxiLoop, a new consumer brand from Shenzhen XIKOE Industrial, is ready to show off the MC8 at Formnext Asia Shenzhen next week. The company has teased an FFF printer with an 8-toolhead setup and automatic spool management, which would put it in direct competition with systems like Bambu Lab's Vortek and Prusa's INDX.

The specs so far are modest but interesting. The build volume sits at 300 x 300 x 300 mm, with a top speed of 600 mm/s and 2,500-point bed leveling claimed to finish in about a minute. Eight spools mount to the sides, four per side, and the system handles filament loading and unloading without user intervention.

What remains unclear is whether the MC8 actually uses eight full extruder assemblies or a waste-reduction trick similar to existing multi-material systems. The teaser image claims 'eight toolheads,' but the render does not make the mechanical architecture obvious. Fabbaloo's Kerry Stevenson put it plainly: the MC8 likely uses some form of near-zero purge technology rather than eight traditional toolchangers, which would be expensive and bulky.

Why This Matters

Multi-material desktop printing has moved fast in 2026. Creality's KliTek, Prusa's INDX, and Bambu Lab's Vortek have all raised expectations for clean color and material changes without the usual purge towers and waste. AxiLoop is entering this space with a bold number: eight materials simultaneously. If the MC8 works as claimed, it would give hobbyists and small print farms a machine that can mix colors and materials without the workflow headaches of older AMS-style switchers.

The real test will be at Formnext Asia, where AxiLoop occupies Hall 15, Stand D193. No price or shipping date has been announced. The company is targeting a late-August debut, with details expected to follow the show floor demonstrations.
