Axtra3D will demonstrate its Lumia X1 SLA printer and closed-loop Axtra Workflow manufacturing system at IMTS 2026 in Chicago.

Axtra3D is heading to IMTS 2026 with its Lumia X1 stereolithography printer and a fully connected manufacturing workflow. The company will demo the system at its booth from September 14 to 19 in Chicago.

The Lumia X1 uses Axtra3D's Hybrid PhotoSynthesis System (HPS) and a patented TruLayer Technology that the company says enables rapid layer detachment and larger cross-sections than conventional SLA. The build envelope measures 249 by 140 by 495 millimeters. Layer resolution runs from 25 to 200 microns, with an XY resolution of 45 microns. The printer supports Extreme Quality, High Quality, and DLP build modes and works as an open system with 405-nanometer resins.

Axtra Workflow ties the printer to post-processing and monitoring in a single closed loop. Washing, curing, and print setup are linked through software. Axtra.Insight tracks more than 155 sensors on the printer plus additional sensors on washing and curing units. The goal is to catch material, calibration, and environment inconsistencies before they ruin a production run.

The company sees this as an answer to a common manufacturing pain point. Standalone SLA printers often fail when scaled because small drifts in temperature, resin viscosity, or calibration add up to bad batches. Axtra Workflow logs the full chain of custody and makes it easier to validate parts for regulated industries like aerospace and medical.

Axtra3D expanded into North America earlier this year and added reseller coverage in recent months. At IMTS, the company will show sample parts spanning those markets.

IMTS 2026 runs September 14 to 19 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Axtra3D will be in the South Hall.
