Bambu Lab A2L Brings Large-Format Printing to India at Rs 48,999

Bambu Lab formally entered the Indian market on August 5, 2026, and it did so with a new printer rather than just a distribution announcement. The A2L is the company's largest open-bed desktop 3D printer, with a build volume that gives owners more than double the printable space of its standard 256 mm-class machines. Pricing starts at Rs 48,999 for the base model, with a Combo variant that includes the Automatic Material System at Rs 65,999.

Build Volume and Print Quality

The A2L's build area measures 330 x 320 x 325 mm. Bambu Lab says that translates to 105 percent more printable volume than its smaller desktop printers. That extra space matters for anyone who routinely splits large models into sections just to get them onto the build plate. The larger bed also supports batch production of multiple parts in a single job.

Bambu Lab addressed the vibration problems that come with a moving gantry at larger sizes. The A2L uses adaptive vibration compensation that recalibrates based on toolhead movement and bed load. Granular dampers reduce resonance artifacts during high-speed runs. The closed-loop PMSM servo extruder monitors filament flow continuously, catching feeding errors before they produce a bad layer. The printer also includes nozzle clog detection, filament run-out monitoring, and tangled spool detection.

Quiet Operation and Extra Modules

Bambu Lab rates the A2L at under 49 dB in Silent Mode. That is low enough for home offices, classrooms, and studio environments without the printer becoming the loudest thing in the room.

The A2L supports optional blade-cutting and pen-drawing modules. The blade-cutting attachment can cut fabric, leather, and sticker material. The pen module turns the printer into a precision drawing machine. Both plug into the same platform without requiring a separate tool.

The A2L works with multiple Automatic Material System units for multi-color printing and automated filament management. RFID-enabled filaments automatically configure print settings in Bambu Studio. The system integrates with the same Bambu Handy mobile app and MakerWorld model library used across the company's other printers.

Pricing and Availability

The Bambu Lab A2L is now available in India through the company's authorized channel partners. The standard model costs Rs 48,999 (roughly $515). The A2L Combo, which bundles the AMS, costs Rs 65,999 (roughly $690). Bambu Lab says its products have already reached Indian users through third-party channels for almost two years, but this is the first official direct market entry with local support and warranty coverage.
