Nozzle Swaps in 5 Seconds

Creality's next move in multi-material printing is the K3, a printer built around a system the company calls KliTek. The headline feature is speed: the K3 swaps nozzles in roughly 5 seconds and can switch colors or materials in under 15 seconds, with almost no waste.

That last part matters. Most multi-material printers purge filament by the meter, dumping colors that never appear on the final part. Creality claims the K3 eliminates that waste by placing material exactly where it is needed.

CMYK Color Mixing

The K3 supports four nozzles at once, blending cyan, magenta, yellow, and either white or black. In practice, that opens the full color spectrum for model makers and toy designers who need more than the standard two-tone FDM limitation.

The printer also lets users mix nozzle sizes in a single print. A 0.4 mm nozzle can handle outer walls for fine detail while a 0.8 mm nozzle blasts through infill. Creality Print automatically optimizes parameters for each tool, so the user does not have to calculate speeds by hand.

Print-in-Place and Mixed Materials

Beyond color, the K3 targets print-in-place models and multi-material builds. The system can deposit rigid PLA alongside flexible TPU in different hardness grades, or use water-soluble PVA supports that snap off cleanly. That last feature could save time on post-processing for complex geometries.
