Creality's new SPARKX i7 Nano fits four-color multi-material printing into a compact $299 package with automatic filament switching.
A Compact Multi-Color Launch
Creality has released the SPARKX i7 Nano, a desktop 3D printer that adds four-color printing to its i7 series in a smaller form factor. The printer became available August 15, bundled with a new CFS nano Kit, through the Creality US Store.
The i7 Nano follows the January launch of the i7 Color Combo. Creality says the new model is built for a smaller desktop footprint than earlier i7 units.
CFS nano Kit and Automatic Switching
For multi-color printing, the i7 Nano pairs with the CFS nano Kit, a compact unit mounted on top of the printer that handles automatic filament switching across up to four colors. The kit uses a dual-motor system: one motor manages filament channel switching, and the other controls feeding and retraction. Creality says the CFS nano installs without complex disassembly or modifications.
AI Features and Print Monitoring
The i7 Nano includes CubeMe, a feature that converts 2D portrait images into multi-color 3D models. A 720p AI camera monitors prints in progress and is designed to detect common failures such as spaghetti errors and air printing.
The printer also applies vibration compensation and dynamic pressure adjustment during printing to help maintain consistent output.
Specifications and Pricing
The SPARKX i7 Nano with CFS nano Kit will be available starting from August 15 for $299 in the U.S. at the Creality US Store.
Build volume measures 260 x 260 x 255 mm, with a maximum print speed of up to 500 mm/s. The hardened steel nozzle reaches up to 300 degrees C, and nozzle diameters of 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, and 0.8 mm are supported. Automatic bed leveling, RFID filament reading and automatic filament refill round out the feature set.
For buyers comparing options, the open-frame i7 Nano costs the same as the enclosed Centauri Carbon 2 Combo from Elegoo. The choice comes down to whether you prioritize a smaller footprint and multi-color ease, or an enclosure that expands material options for ASA and technical filaments.
