Formlabs launches Form Now, an on-demand 3D printing service offering professional SLA and SLS parts in as little as 3 days — direct to consumer and businesses.

Formlabs, the Boston-based 3D printing leader known for its desktop SLA printers, has officially entered the on-demand manufacturing space with the launch of Form Now — a new 3D printing service that lets anyone upload models and receive professionally printed parts.

Professional Printing, Simplified

Form Now offers access to Formlabs' entire portfolio of industrial-grade resins and materials without requiring customers to own a printer. Users simply upload their 3D model, select from 15+ materials including Tough Plastic, Flexible Resin, Glass-Filled Resin, and Premium Resins, and the company handles printing and shipping.

Delivery times claim to be as fast as 3 days for customers near Formlabs' Massachusetts headquarters, with standard turnaround at 5 days or less. Currently, the service is available within the United States.

A Natural Expansion

The move makes strategic sense for Formlabs. As the company's printer installed base has grown, so has the demand from users who occasionally need industrial-quality parts without investing in dedicated resin printing infrastructure. Form Now positions Formlabs directly against established service bureaus like Proto Labs, Xometry, and Sculpteo.

Early customers include educational institutions like SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design), where students use the service for prototyping, and small businesses like On Glass Adapter, which scaled from zero to nearly seven figures in sales using Form Now for production parts.

Pricing and Availability

Pricing appears competitive — for example, a ski goggle frame starts at approximately $29. The service opens up industrial SLA and SLS materials to anyone, from designers and engineers to hobbyists who need just a few high-quality parts.
