Formlabs Shows Fuse X1 Industrial SLS Printer at Shenzhen Summit
Formlabs brought its new Fuse X1 industrial selective laser sintering 3D printer to the APAC Partner Summit 2026 in Shenzhen. The system, which launched globally in June, made its official Asia-Pacific debut at the event.
The Fuse X1 is Formlabs' first large-format industrial SLS platform. It expands the company's portfolio for functional prototyping and low-volume production by delivering higher throughput, greater productivity, and lower total cost of ownership compared to smaller SLS systems.
Formlabs Co-founder and CEO Maxim Lobovsky opened the summit with an update on the company's global business. Formlabs has surpassed $250 million in annual revenue, making it one of the few additive manufacturing companies to achieve both rapid growth and sustained profitability.
Early Customers Are Already Using It
Judit Piukovics, General Manager of Asia-Pacific at Formlabs, introduced the system and shared early customer use cases. Tesla Gigafactory Nevada, Radio Flyer, and Autotiv are among the North American users already running Fuse X1 for product development and production.
Following the summit, the Fuse X1 will remain permanently installed at Formlabs' Shenzhen office as part of an APAC Customer Experience Center. The system will support demonstrations, application testing, technical training, and partner visits from across the region.
Nick Graham, Chief Revenue Officer at Formlabs, attended the summit to discuss growth opportunities with partners. The company also announced enhanced localized support for the APAC region, including faster service response times and expanded partner enablement training covering sales, applications, system operation, and technical support.
