Chinese manufacturer Hanin debuts LCD-L298 elastomer 3D printer at TCT Asia with dual-component printing for footwear, electronics, and robotics.

New Desktop System Targets Elastomer Applications

Hanin, a Chinese manufacturer expanding from 2D printing into additive manufacturing, has introduced the LCD-L298 — a desktop 3D printer specifically designed for elastomer applications. The system made its debut at TCT Asia in Shanghai.

The LCD-L298 uses LCD selective area light transmission technology, which Hanin says overcomes traditional light intensity limitations of conventional LCD printing systems. The system features an 8K Ultra-High Precision LCD screen with 46 μm XY accuracy.

Technical Specifications

  • XY Resolution: 46 μm
  • Build Area: 294 × 160 × 400 mm
  • Light Source: COB with Fresnel lens for uniform distribution
  • Technology: LCD selective area light transmission

Dual-Component Elastomer Printing

The key differentiator is dual-component elastomer printing capability. This opens applications across:

  • Footwear — shoe soles, insoles, and custom orthotics
  • Consumer electronics — protective cases, wearable devices
  • Robotics — soft robotics, grippers, damping components
  • Medical — prosthetics, anatomical models
  • Industrial manufacturing — seals, gaskets, vibration damping

Selective Jet Fusion Technology

Hanin also showcased the SJF-P380 system at TCT Asia, based on the company's proprietary Selective Jet Fusion technology. This powder bed fusion system introduces what Hanin describes as "single-solution forming technology," requiring only a single solution for both fusion and sintering steps.

The system features closed-loop temperature control and ink droplet monitoring technology, with photoinitiators and thermal initiators promoting localized powder sintering.

Both systems were on display at Booth 8F69 in Hall 8.1H at TCT Asia 2026.
