HeyGears' latest resin printer hits 4.5 seconds per layer while keeping 8K detail, a combination that miniatures makers have been waiting for.
Speed Without the Compromise
Resin 3D printing has always been a trade-off. Push the machine faster and you risk losing the crisp edges that make resin worth using. Slow it down and you spend half the day waiting for a single miniature to finish. HeyGears says its new Reflex RS Turbo ends that argument.
The printer uses a 10.3-inch 8K amber screen with a 566:1 contrast ratio. That matters because resin printers depend on light control. A brighter, sharper screen means the cured layers retain detail even when the machine is moving. HeyGears claims the Dynamic Motion Algorithm 3.0 inside the Reflex RS Turbo can push print speeds up 33 percent, reaching roughly 4.5 seconds per layer in internal testing.
Miniatures painters and tabletop gamers will care about the build volume. At 222 by 122 by 228 mm, the build area fits multiple figures or several parts for a larger model in one go. The C5-grade Z-axis module keeps layer positioning errors within 2 micrometers, which translates to smoother surfaces straight off the build plate.
Less Fiddling, More Printing
Every resin printer owner knows the setup drill. Level the bed, check the resin tank, dial in supports, remove the print, wash it, cure it. HeyGears built several automation features into the Reflex RS Turbo to cut that overhead. Floating screen auto-leveling, automatic model repair, smart auto supports, residue detection, and automatic resin refill all aim to reduce the manual steps between slicing and printing.
The Blueprint software handles model preparation and preprocessing. Open Material Mode lets advanced users tweak parameters for exotic resins. For anyone running a small batch of detailed prototypes or a backlog of commission miniatures, the time saved adds up fast.
The Reflex RS Turbo is not trying to be an industrial machine. It is aimed at the creators who already know resin prints look better than FDM but want the workflow to catch up with the results.
