HP's new open industrial filament platform, unveiled at Formnext 2025, makes its North American debut at AMUG 2026 with the HP Industrial Filament 600 High Temperature system.

HP Industrial Filament Enters North American Market

At Formnext 2025, HP Additive Manufacturing revealed a major step in its broader portfolio expansion strategy with the announcement of a new 3D printer, the HP Industrial Filament 600 High Temperature (HT). The system made its North American debut at AMUG 2026.

The HP IF 600HT represents HP's push into high-performance filament 3D printing. Unlike the company's previous consumer-oriented Multi Jet Fusion systems, this new platform is designed for engineering-grade thermoplastics with automated drying and complete material traceability.

Open Filament Strategy

Unlike competitors who lock users into proprietary materials, HP has adopted an open filament approach. This allows manufacturers to use third-party materials, potentially reducing operating costs and increasing flexibility for production applications.

The system is targeting industrial users who need high-temperature materials like PEEK, PEKK, and other engineering-grade filaments for functional prototyping and end-use parts production.

Availability

HP announced the Industrial Filament 600 HT would be available in the first half of 2026. The AMUG 2026 debut gives North American attendees their first opportunity to see the system in person and learn more about pricing and deployment timelines.
