Why the marketing numbers mislead

Manufacturer flow rate specs are often optimistic. A hot end might be rated for 25 mm3/s on paper, but real-world results with a specific polymer at a specific temperature can be significantly lower. MeltCalc uses thermodynamic modelling rather than manufacturer benchmarks, which is why the numbers it produces tend to read as more conservative.
