MOVA launches AtomForm Palette 300 with 12 auto-swapping nozzles — desktop multicolor printing gets a massive upgrade with true parallel color capability.

MOVA has officially launched the AtomForm Palette 300, a desktop 3D printer featuring a revolutionary 12-nozzle automatic swapping system that could change how makers approach multicolor 3D printing.

What Makes This Different

Most current multicolor 3D printers use a single hotend with filament purging between color changes. The Palette 300 takes a fundamentally different approach — it has 12 dedicated nozzles mounted on a rotating carousel, each pre-loaded with a different color or material.

When the printer needs a different color, it automatically swaps to the appropriate nozzle rather than purging filament. This eliminates the material waste and time loss associated with traditional filament-based color switching.

Key Specifications

  • Nozzles: 12 auto-swapping nozzles on carousel
  • Build Volume: 300×300×300mm
  • Color Capacity: Up to 16 colors with optional expansion modules
  • Auto-Feeding: Each nozzle has independent filament drive
  • Filament ID: RFID-like identification for each slot

Why It Matters

For makers and small studios producing colorful prints, the traditional approach of filament purging can waste 20-30% of material on color transitions. The Palette 300s nozzle-swapping approach could reduce this dramatically while also enabling true parallel color capability.

The system also supports mixing materials — you could have PLA, PETG, TPU, and other materials loaded simultaneously and switch between them mid-print.

Availability

The MOVA AtomForm Palette 300 is available now through MOVA's website and authorized resellers. Pricing starts at $2,499 for the base unit.
