PharmaTher and Craft Health Team Up on 3D Printed Peptides

PharmaTher Holdings Ltd. has named Craft Health's CraftMake platform as the manufacturing backbone for its new Personaliz3D Peptides division. The Toronto-based company wants to produce personalized peptide doses using 3D printing instead of relying on the one-size-fits-all compounding models common today.

What the Collaboration Covers

The partnership will test six peptides: BPC-157, KPV, TB-500, MOTS-c, Epitalon and Semax. PharmaTher and Craft Health plan to evaluate oral thin films, gummies and controlled-release designs using CraftMake's semi-solid paste extrusion process. The printer operates at room temperature with no UV curing, and it supports multi-material builds for taste-masking and sequential release within a single dose.

Why Now

The FDA's Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee recently recommended these six peptides for inclusion on the Section 503A Bulks List. That vote is advisory and non-binding, but it signals Washington may be moving toward a clearer regulatory path for compounded peptide medicines.
