Polyverse Solutions launched the NOVA-60, a compact injection molding system that uses 3D-printed mold inserts to let R&D teams test production materials earlier.

What NOVA-60 Does

Austrian manufacturer plasticpreneur introduced the NOVA-60 under its Polyverse Solutions brand. It is a compact injection molding machine designed to integrate 3D-printed tooling into product development workflows.

The system uses a Universal Mould System that accepts either 3D-printed or machined aluminum mold inserts. Engineers can inject the intended polymer into the mold and evaluate a component produced through an actual molding process rather than relying on FDM or resin prototypes that may not reproduce the final material properties.

Who Is Using It

Deliveries began in April 2026. Plasticpreneur says systems are now operating in more than seven European countries, with customers including corporate R&D departments, medium-sized manufacturers, and Prusa Research.

The NOVA-60 offers a maximum shot weight of 60 grams and injection pressures up to 200 bar. Pressure is generated manually using a handwheel connected to an integrated rack-and-pinion mechanism. Processing temperatures reach up to 350 degrees Celsius, letting the machine handle engineering-grade polymers.

Why It Fits on a Desk

Measuring 58 by 40 by 100 centimeters and weighing approximately 50 kilograms, the system is designed to operate alongside 3D printers and other desktop equipment in laboratories and R&D environments. An integrated extraction system combines activated carbon and HEPA filtration to capture volatile organic compounds and vapors during processing.

Polyverse Solutions positions the NOVA-60 as part of a broader product development ecosystem, bridging the gap between 3D printed prototypes and full injection molding production.
