Prusa's CORE One+ can now be ordered with Bondtech's INDX 8-tool toolchanger, cutting material swap times from 42 seconds to 12 and eliminating purge waste between nozzles.

Prusa Research is now taking orders for the CORE One+ (Gen 2) with Bondtech's INDX 8-tool toolchanger installed. The setup replaces the standard single nozzle with eight independent tools, each with its own 0.4 mm nozzle and cold docking station.

The practical benefit is speed. Single-nozzle multi-material systems spend roughly 42 seconds on every filament swap: retract, cut, feed, flush. The INDX drops that to about 12 seconds per change by parking the cold tool and picking up the next one. That adds up fast on large, multi-material models.

Waste drops too. Because each material keeps its own dedicated nozzle path, there is no need to purge one filament out before loading the next. Prusa says the system prints multi-color models without throwing half the spool away.

The assembled 8-tool version ships for $2,082.41. An assembly kit costs $1,804.63 for builders who want to install it themselves. Shipping starts October 15. Four-tool versions are also available, and Bondtech sells a generic development kit that fits Voron, Sovol, and other printer designs starting at $487.50 for one toolhead.

The INDX keeps the CORE One+ chamber sealed during operation. Tools dock passively, and an induction sensor handles calibration. Prusa and Bondtech designed the system to carry over existing PrusaSlicer profiles and print sheets, so current CORE One+ owners do not need to relearn their workflow.
