Quickparts is deploying 12 Stratasys SLA printers across four countries, giving aerospace and defense customers the ability to shift production without requalifying parts.

A Four-Country Factory Floor

Quickparts is installing 12 Stratasys NEO800+ stereolithography printers at its facilities in the United States, France, Italy, and the United Kingdom. The move brings the company's total commitment to its Seattle Aerospace and Defense Center of Excellence to nearly $6 million.

The new machines increase Quickparts' large-format production capacity by 40%. But the real point is standardization. A part qualified at the Seattle facility can move to France, Italy, or the UK without requalification. For defense and space customers, that flexibility matters when production in one region gets disrupted.

"Reshoring and industrial resilience are usually discussed as policy. We're treating them as a balance-sheet decision," said Quickparts CEO Avi Reichental. "Anyone can buy the same machine we just bought. What they can't buy quickly is a qualified capability delivering to the same standard across four countries, at a scale that took us years to build."

What the NEO800+ Actually Does

The NEO800+ is a large-format resin printer built for industrial production. Quickparts will use it for end-use aerospace and defense parts, not just prototypes. The 12 systems began arriving in August and should all be operational by October.

Stratasys reported in its second-quarter results that aerospace and defense revenue grew 17% year over year, making it the company's largest market. CEO Yoav Zeif pointed to the Quickparts deal as evidence that large-format additive manufacturing is becoming central to industrial supply chains.

For defense contractors, the appeal is simple. If you have qualified production capacity in multiple locations, you can shift work around delays. Quickparts is building exactly that: a network where production can spread across several facilities instead of being stuck at one.
