The Asia-Pacifics largest 3D printing trade show returns to Shanghai March 17-19 with record-breaking numbers: 550 exhibitors across 55,000 sq m.

Asia-Pacifics Largest 3D Printing Event is Back

TCT Asia, the regions premier additive manufacturing trade show, is set to return to the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from March 17-19, 2026, with record-breaking figures that underscore the industrys explosive growth.

The 2026 edition will feature 550 exhibitors across 55,000 square meters, expecting more than 40,000 visitors over the three-day event. Of the confirmed exhibitors, 527 companies have registered 849 products spanning metal powder bed fusion systems, polymer AM platforms, advanced metal powders, and post-processing equipment.

Industry Growth on Display

The sheer scale of the event reflects a broader market trajectory. According to TCT Asia, the global 3D printing market was valued at $20.24 billion in 2024, with forecasts projecting $56.21 billion within five years — a compound annual growth rate of 22.66%.

Among the major exhibitors confirmed for 2026 are Farsoon Technologies, Xians Bright Laser Technologies (BLT), Eplus 3D, ZRapid Technologies, UnionTech, and Avimetal AM Tech, alongside a broader field of materials specialists and software providers.

More Than Just a Trade Floor

The conference program runs alongside the exhibition, kicking off a day early on March 16 with an ASTM Certificate Course covering AM standards. The free TCT Asia Summit will run across all three days with tracks covering healthcare, aerospace, consumer goods, mold and industry, and architecture and design.

The Tech Stage will give universities and research institutes room to present current work, while the Insight Stage Series will take on business strategy and global market perspectives.

On March 18, the LabTec Bio3D Forum will turn the spotlight on life science and biotech applications, one of the faster moving corners of the industry.

International Attendance Surges

Last years edition drew 31,352 visitors, up 31% on 2024, with over 60% coming from end-user companies rather than vendors. More than one in eight visitors carried a purchasing budget exceeding $700,000.

Visitor attendance has included representatives from Tesla, BMW, Porsche, Huawei, Samsung, Foxconn, Johnson & Johnson, Bosch, and Honeywell. Overseas buyer delegations have more than tripled over the past two years.

China's expanding visa-free entry agreements and a transit policy allowing stays of up to 240 hours for visitors from 54 countries have helped boost international attendance.

The show represents a significant moment for the Asian AM market and signals continued strong growth for the global 3D printing industry.
