Tethon 3D has acquired a strategic portfolio of intellectual property assets originally developed by Fortify. The two companies previously collaborated in 2021 to develop ceramic materials for 3D printed end-use parts.
What the IP Includes
Acquiring Fortify's IP portfolio, Tethon will add patents and enabling technologies that will enhance its high-performance composite and dielectric materials offering. Those patents and technologies cover:
- Anisotropic composite structures
- Advanced material processing methods
These technologies enable high-performance RF, microwave, and mmWave components. The materials support the precision fabrication of dielectric structures used in demanding applications including radar systems, satellite communications, advanced electronics, and next-generation wireless infrastructure.
