TPM3D Launches Compact SLS System With 67% More Build Volume

Bigger Builds, Same Small Footprint

TPM3D's new CF250 is exactly the kind of upgrade that sounds obvious once someone builds it: more build volume without demanding a larger room. The printer expands the build chamber to 250 x 250 x 320 mm, a 67% jump over the previous CF200, yet it still fits on just 0.53 square meters of floor space.

The company designed the compact C Series for laboratories, service bureaus, and small production shops that want professional SLS without the infrastructure headache of an industrial system. The CF250 runs on standard 220 V power, so there is no need to rewire the room before setting it up.

Powder Handling Gets Automated

The companion PPS250 station handles the messy parts of SLS that usually slow operators down. It combines powder recovery, depowdering, sieving, and mixing into a single enclosed workflow. Less manual transfer means cleaner parts and less downtime between builds.

Under reference conditions, the system can print roughly 0.9 to 1.0 liters per hour, with a full-height build taking about 22 hours. A 30 W fiber laser and 0.1 mm layer thickness round out the spec sheet.

Materials and Target Market

At launch, TPM3D qualifies PA12 and glass-filled PA12 for the CF250. The company is adding PA11 and TPU as testing finishes. That is a sensible rollout. It lets early adopters start with proven materials while the catalog expands.

The CF250 sits in an awkward middle of the SLS market, between hobbyist-friendly systems and large industrial installations. For teams that have outgrown entry-level printers but cannot justify the cost and space of a full factory system, this launch fills a real gap.

The system debuted at Formnext Asia Shenzhen from August 26 to 28, 2026. TPM3D is also expanding its global reseller network to push the CF250 + PPS250 into new markets.
