Beijing-based Tripo AI pulled in roughly 3 billion yuan across Series B and B+ rounds to scale its generative 3D platform.
Generative 3D startup Tripo AI has closed approximately 3 billion yuan in Series B and Series B+ financing, the company announced September 1, 2026. The round values the business at a steep multiple and signals that investors still see real upside in AI-native 3D creation tools.
Who Led the Round
MPCi served as lead on the Series B. Strategic backers include Perfect World, BlueFocus, SPC, Yanqu Games, ThunderSoft, and 37 Interactive Entertainment. On the financial side, CDH Venture and Growth Capital, CICC, CMC Capital Partners, Hongtai Aplus, 3H Health, Zhongping Capital, and GreatOrigin Asia participated. Existing investors Fortune Capital, Primavera Capital, 4399 Network, Muhua Tech Ventures, Vitalbridge Capital, INCE Capital, and T-Capital all increased their positions.
What Tripo Actually Does
Tripo builds 3D-native foundation models. Its platform turns text or images into production-ready 3D assets in seconds. The company previewed Tripo P2.0 alongside the funding news, highlighting quad topology support as an industry first.
Enterprises in gaming, manufacturing, virtual reality, and embodied AI already use Tripo's API and Studio products. The new capital goes toward model development, compute infrastructure, and commercialization.
The Bigger Picture
This is Tripo's third major raise in under a year. The company pulled in nearly $200 million across Series A+ and A++ rounds in June 2026, following a $50 million round in March. The pace suggests the market is willing to fund infrastructure plays in 3D AI rather than thin wrappers around existing models.
For 3D printing users, faster and cheaper AI-generated assets mean more accessible custom parts, prototypes, and printable designs. The bottleneck has been quality; Tripo claims P2.0 closes that gap.
