HP Metal Jet S100 users now get a semi-automated powder handling solution with the new vPort system from Volkmann.

Volkmann GmbH, a German manufacturer of powder conveying equipment, has partnered with HP Additive Manufacturing Solutions to provide a contained metal powder handling system for the HP Metal Jet S100 3D printer.

Safer Powder Management

The new vPort system integrates Volkmanns PowTReX basic for powder sieving, recovery, and transfer with their vacuum conveyor, glove box and locking dock sealing system. This provides a semi-automated solution for parts cleaning, powder recovery, and refilling.

Entry-Level Option

According to HP, this system combines safety for operations and operators with efficient workflow and processes. Easy to install in a couple of days, customers can start production of high-quality end-use parts.

The collaboration aims to provide HP Metal Jet customers with an entry-level option alongside HPs existing fully automated solution.
