xTool O1 Omni Printer Opens Australian Pre-Orders with Four-in-One Desktop Printing

xTool Wants One Printer to Handle Rigid Substrates and Fabric

xTool has opened the Australian pre-order phase for the O1 Omni Printer, a desktop machine the company calls the first true "Omni Printer." Rather than forcing small businesses, designers, and makers to buy separate machines for hard goods and apparel, the O1 bundles four print technologies into one enclosure: UV, DTG, DTF, and UV DTF.

The idea is simple on paper but unusual in practice. A single device can print intricate designs on wood, acrylic, glass, and metal, then switch to customizing T-shirts or producing UV DTF transfer decals. xTool pitches this as a way to collapse fragmented workflows into one footprint, a move that matters for home studios and small print shops where space and budget are tight.

Two Printhead Layouts for Different Workflows

The O1 uses a dual-printhead architecture that can be configured two ways. The Dual-Head UV Edition is built for faster production on rigid substrates and supports flexible, soft and hard white inks, plus fluorescent neon inks for blacklight effects. The UV + Fabric Edition adds OEKO-TEX certified DTG and DTF capability, which xTool claims survives more than 50 washes without fading.

A Pixel-Scan Vision System pairs line-laser altimetry with CIS scanning to auto-focus on the highest point of an object and avoid printhead crashes. xTool says the 1:1 distortion-free scanning removes the dead zones common in fisheye-camera systems and powers a jigless "drop and print" workflow. With the rotary attachment, the system can also build automated 3D models for roughly 90 percent of mainstream tumblers.

Pricing and Availability

Pre-orders kicked off on August 18 with a A$100 deposit that locks in early-bird pricing. The three launch configurations are:

• Single UV Edition: A$2,399 early-bird / A$3,499 MSRP
• Dual-Head UV Edition: A$3,899 early-bird / A$4,749 MSRP
• UV + DT Fabric Edition: A$3,999 early-bird / A$4,999 MSRP

xTool says the final payment phase is scheduled for mid-September, with the early-bird window including a bonus package valued at A$692.

Who Is It For?

xTool is aiming the O1 at three groups. Small businesses get a way to expand product lines without adding multiple machines. Designers can move complex artwork onto physical goods across hard and soft materials. Makers gain full-color and texture options to layer on top of existing fabrication workflows. The company also emphasizes safety features, including GREENGUARD certified non-reprotoxic inks and built-in air filtration for home-studio use.

Whether the O1 becomes a practical all-rounder or a jack-of-all-trades will depend on real-world throughput and ink costs. But the pre-order numbers, and xTool's track record in laser engravers, suggest plenty of creators are willing to find out.
